Tim Thompson went above and beyond to help us find our forever home. Living nine hours away is tough when searching for a home but Tim did so much of the legwork and research for us. He absolutely understood our needs. Our needs as a husband and wife were different too and Tim asked the right questions and got an understanding quickly of what was important to each of us. We highly recommend him! He is professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable in all aspects of a purchase… From financing to Insurance agents and so on. You cannot get better than him.

Anyone that is interested in selling a home and getting the best that the Roanoke Valley has to offer look no further than Tim Thompson. He listed and our house and sold it within 30 days. But that only tells part of the story. This sale was a process not an event and Tim Thompson was meticulous in his attention to detail. He put in many many hours over and beyond what you might expect from a realtor. He met with us many times over the past few years. He was always available. He does market analysis and he leaves nothing out. He also has a love for the Roanoke Valley as he sponsers many events and does much for the community. You might find a cheaper realtor. Tim sold us our home 13 years ago, and has kept in touch with us through the years since that time. When we were looking for a home in the area for our daughter, we turned to him for help with the process. He was very responsive when we wanted to look at a home, even when it was last minute and a bit of a drive. He is very knowledgeable about the whole area and his expertise in the real estate market has been most helpful! He has been very patient as our daughter looked at different types of homes over the past five months, and was willing to return to places she wanted to revisit. He suggested people we might use for inspections and other services, and we were very pleased with his recommendations. One defines a realtor as someone who either sells a house to you or sells a house for you. Tim Thompson by far exceeded every expectation I had when I asked him to help me sell my parents' estate. He's published books for regular people like me not knowing anything about estate sales. He can recommend any contractor for anything you need in terms of getting your house ready for the market so you don't have to do the research yourself. I would stand behind all of them except ALL AMERICAN MOVERS, which I will post a separate review on their site. Back to Tim...he goes above and beyond, not just 'while' he's your realtor, but still retains a very valuable relationship 'after' the sale is complete. It's truly been a pleasure to have Tim represent me, and as far as I'm concerned, he still is and will always be my first call for any advice I need regarding home advice and property/home purchases and sales moving forward! Tim was very effective at homing in on properties that would meet our requirements, and in facilitating the purchase offer through closing process. He has assembled a team that coordinates the loan approval, home inspection, and closing aspects efficiently, making it easy for us as the buyers. I must add that we needed to complete much of this process remotely, and he and his team were able to facilitate the process via distance means. Throughout our home hunting process, Tim demonstrated one of the most important qualities that I have valued that being that he is a very good listener. This process was even more challenging since we lived in another state and completely relied on his good judgement. Tim went out of his way to help me find a new home in Roanoke when I was relocating from out of state. He not only helped me find the perfect home, but he handled meeting with contractors and ensured that the work that was needed was completed. We had a rather unusual property to have to place on the market. We interviewed two realtors. The first realtor came unprepared and with two year old comps. His price assessment was about $25,000 less than we were figuring as an asking price. There was no followup from him. We then contacted Tim Thompson. What a difference in professionalism. Tim took his time, came prepared. It was obvious Tim has his finger on the pulse of this market. He knew exactly how to market our property, the exact price point. In fact, we put the house on the market on Tuesday and sold it on Thursday for asking. Actually we had two asking price offers and requests for two back up offers. The buyers must have been as impressed with Tim as they used him as their agent. Tim's keen ability to work with the buyer and the seller made for a smooth transaction.
